Itinerary
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. The remainder of the day is leisure.Overnight: Sheraton Hotel Kampala
Taking a picnic lunch you drive through scenic countryside to lake Buyonyi. The lake is dotted with small islands and one of the main islands was a Dutch leper colony until 1969.Overnight: Far Out Islands Camp.
You have to take a short walk or a chance to fish or canoe before the lake leaving to drive into the mountains to Bwindi forest . Bwindi means "a place of darkness", aptly derived from the thick vegetation of the forest. Bwindi has also been called, quite appropriately, The impenetrable forest. The afternoon is at leisure at your camp. Overnight: Buhoma Luxury Tented Camp.
Excitement builds for your day of trekking in search of elusive and endangered mountain Gorilla. Nothing can eclipse a moment with these magnificent creatures. Depending on when you find your "group" gorillas, you will enjoy a picnic lunch before trek back to camp.Overnight: Buhoma Luxury Tented Camp.
Drive back to Entebbe with lunch en route. Overnight: Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel.
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
