Itinerary

Leave Nairobi for Tsavo National Park. Enroute bird viewing. Lunch afternoon birding. Enjoy more stunning views at the Yatta plateau, which is about 290km long and one of the worlds longest lava flows. Lugards Falls, a series of rapids on the Galana River, are remarkable for the shaped water-worn rocks. Accompanied by KWS Wildlife Rangers one can walk down to the river on foot to get a good look at the rapids while trying to spot the crocodiles, and to follow the river bed for a short while. The Aruba Dam was built in 1952 across the Voi River. The dam attracts many animals and especially water birds can be observed here.Dinner and overnight at a lodge or campsite.

Famous for its large numbers of elephant and spectacular herds of up to 1000 buffalo, Tsavo East has more open savannah than its western sibling. The scrub-covered hills of the southern park have a very remote feel and the park, despite its great game, does not attract large numbers of tourists. The best game viewing is along the watercourses and at the Kanderi swamp, which is not far from the main Voi gate. Thirty kilometres from the gate is the Aruba Dam and lion are commonly spotted around here.Full day birding. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or campsite.

Leave for Amboseli National Park. Enroute Birding and afternoon bird watching.

Full day birding at Amboseli.Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, which include the African elephant, cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenyan birds, both large and small,to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting. When you arrive at the park, the warden will give you several common sense rules: do not get out of your vehicle, except at designated spots; do not harass the animals in any way; keep to the tracks; no off-road driving; and remember that the animals always have the right of way. The roads in Amboseli have a loose surface of volcanic soil that is dusty in the dry season and impassable in the wet season. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or campsite.

Leave for Nairobi arrive at lunch time. Depart for Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or campsite.

Full day game viewing at Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinocerous and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake.

Morning Boat ride in Naivasha. After lunch leave for Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or campsite.

Full day birding Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or campsite.

The whole day explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game.Birding watching at Masai Mara and afternoon Nature walk. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The Mara's gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq kms - an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 kms west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson's Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard. In the Mara River Hippos play and Crocs bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north. After exploring the park return to the camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enroute Game drive arriving in Nairobi on early afternoon. Dinner at carnivore restaurant. Overnight Nairobi Hotel.
