Day to Day Tour Plan

Day 1: Pick up Nairobi to Masai Mara

Our Driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel after the breakfast as early as 0730am, proceed to the departure point where you will join other guests who will be joining you for the same 12 Days Kenya Safari. The departure time will be about 0800am, you will drive for about 30-40 min and you will have the first stop over at the Great Rift Valley view point where you will be able to step out of the vehicle as you take photos and get a brief history about the formation of this world historic site. There after embark and drive at the floor of the rift valley and arrive in Narok for the time of lunch. After lunch you will have 2 hours drive which brings you to the world-renowned Masai Mara, the northern extension of the famous Serengeti Plains. The incredible productivity of the rolling grasslands and tree studded woodlands will be witnessed firsthand. Countless wildebeest, zebra, and water buffalo are guaranteed. Elephant, giraffe, warthog, lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal are also all likely to be seen. The Maras numerous antelope species include hartebeest, topi, impala, eland, Suni, bush duiker, steinbok, dikdik, and Grants and Thomson gazelle. Lion kills make for some great vulture viewing. The white-browned Robin-Chats lovely song at Camp will wake you in the morning and call you to your Room in the evening. Dinner and overnight in Masai Mara Tented Camp or Lodge

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day

The whole day explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round.The Mara’s gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq km – an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard. In the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north.After exploring the park return to the camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Wake up call at 0630am have a cup of coffee then proceed for the early morning game drive which will take you until 0930am ,then return to the Lodge for main breakfast, after the breakfast check out the Camp and proceed on to Lake Nakuru, not on this day you can visit the Masai village and see how the have maintained their culture, be entertained with their dance and then proceed on to Lake Nakuru, on this day you will have your lunch on the way in Narok, on arrival in Lake Nakuru if time allows you will proceed for the evening game drive until 1830hrs there after return to the Lake Nakuru hotel or lodge house for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Have an early breakfast then final game drive as you head to Lake Naivasha.There after head to Hells gate National park. Hells gate is the only park in Kenya where you can interact with the wildlife as we are allowed to cycle and walk in side the park with the help of the guide. Soon after you enter the park the impressive landscape unfolds before you, and you are transported to a dramatic, semi-arid world, with sheer rugged cliffs, open plains and deep concealed gorges. There are many activities you can do within Hells Gate including, walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers the choice is yours. Picnic lunch in the park. Late afternoon we depart Hells Gate to the fish eagle Camp or lodge

Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli

On this day you will have your breakfast as from 0700-0800am. After the breakfast proceed for the morning boat ride which will take you to the famous hippo pool, you will be able to see lots of the heard of Hippos as well as birds in this lake, there after head to Amboseli, on this day you will have your lunch on the way in Town Known as Mai Mahiu, after lunch head on to Amboseli arriving late afternoon, if time allows go for a short game drive and then return to the Camp For Dinner and over night in Amboseli Camp or lodge

Day 6: Amboseli Full Day

After the breakfast proceed for the full day of game viewing in the Park. Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’s most popular spectacular displays of wildlife – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino,cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya’s most sought after photographer’s paradise. You will have lunch and leisure break at look out point or at the observation hill for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather. Large herds of elephant and hippo can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch proceed for another gamed drive which will take you until 1830hrs where you will return to the Camp for Dinner and overnight in Amboseli Camp or lodge

Day 7: Amboseli Arusha

Have your final game drive as you check out the park, drive to Namanga border which is between Kenya and Tanzania, at this point you will get you visa which normally takes like 30min to process just in case you dont have one, then after the migration formalities we proceed on to Arisha arriving late early afternoon with a drop off to Arusha tourist Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Wake up call and then have your breakfast, there after proceed to Lake Manyara is a vegetatively diverse park set beneath the dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley. See the amazing Baobob tree, an assortment of Ficus and Acacia trees, and all the life that inhabits them. This is a birding paradise, with several species of hornbills being a highlight. The group will enjoy a safari tour to the far end of the park, noted for its hot springs, abundance of giraffe and African bush elephant. Dont be surprised if you see mongoose, klipspringer, and the elusive rock hyrax. Lake Manyara is a soda lake, and is noted for its flamingos and other waterbirds. Overnight at the Mto Wa Mbu Camp or lodge

Day 9: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakeys pivotal discoveries that uncovered our human origins, is a stark, sere landscape. You will have lunch at the small information center while hearing a talk about the meaning and importance of the archeological findings in the area. You will then proceed to Naabi Gate and enter the Serengeti on a game drive en route to Seronera Camp or Lodge

Day 10: Serengeti National Park (full day)

The Serengeti, from the Masai word siringet, meaning endless plains, is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania’s protected areas. It has one of the greatest assemblages of wildlife in the world. From the official park website: The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Overnight at the Camp or Lodge

Day 11: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro

On this day you will have your breakfast as early as 0700am, then check out the camp and then proceed for the early game drive which will take you until 1030am, have the final game drive as you exit the park via Naabi gate, at the gate you will be served with the lunch as you now enter in the Ngorongoro Conservancy. After the lunch proceed for another like 2 hours to get to Ngorongoro Crater Simba Camp, you will be received with a cup of African hot coffee or Tea as the rim sometimes tend to be cold due to the elevation. Dinner and overnight in the Camp or Lodge

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater World Heritage Site – Arusha

On this day the breakfast will be served as early as 0700hrs. After the breakfast check out the camp early in the morning as at 0730am, we will descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day exploitative game drive tour. We take a picnic lunch and this will be served in the crater next to the hippo pool, at this point you will be able to stretch your feet and visit the washrooms. The Ngorongoro Crater is recognized as a UNESCO protected World Heritage Site and forms part of an international biosphere reserve. The crater measures approximately 300 sq km and measures about 19 km across. The floor of the crater is 600 meters below the rim, (which is over 2200 m.a.s.l), and is home to an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, lion, cheetah, buffalo, elephants and a plethora of antelope species. Late in the afternoon we ascend the crater and then proceed to Arusha arriving late evening with a drop off to the hotel of your choice.
