Tour Overview

The 13 Days Kenya and Tanzania Wildlife Lodge trips is a comprehensive safari, which starts from Nairobi and ends at Zanzibar. The journey includes a lot of in-between amazing destinations with fantastic wildlife experiences and East Africa Natural World Heritage Sites. Some of these include Masai Mara National Reserve, Lake Naivasha Hells Gate, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and much more. Through the 13 Days Kenya and Tanzania Wildlife Lodge safaris you will be able to have a real-life view of the Big Five game animals.

Day to Day Tour Plan

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

A morning at 0730 – 0800am, the drive will take you along the great rift valley, then you stop at the view point to take some photos and get the information about the formation of this great rift valley, then departure brings us to the world-renowned Masai Mara, the northern extension of the famous Serengeti Plains. On arrival check in the Lodge and have lunch, there after proceed for the afternoon game drive to the incredible productivity of the rolling grasslands and tree studded woodlands will be witnessed firsthand. Countless wildebeest, zebra, and water buffalo are guaranteed. Elephant, giraffe, warthog, lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal are also all likely to be seen. The Mara’s numerous antelope species include hartebeest, topi, impala, eland, suni, bush duiker, steinbok, dikdik, and Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle. Lion kills make for some great vulture viewing. The white-browned Robin-Chat’s lovely song at Lodge will wake you in the morning and call you to your Room in the evening. Dinner and overnight in Masai Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara (full day)

You will be overwhelmed and satiated by the abundance of wildlife viewed in this park. Over 1.5 million wildebeest should be preparing for their southward migration to the Serengeti. The safari takes you to the Mara River where you will see and photograph hippos and large crocodiles lying in wait. Masai ostrich, crowned crane, helmeted guinea-fowl, kori bustard and the secretary bird will have you wondering what’s next on the fascinating bird list.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

Have an early morning game drive as from 0630-0930am, then return to the Lodge for main breakfast, after the breakfast proceed to lake Naivasha and have your lunch on the way arriving in Lake Naivasha Sopa Spa, After lunch you will proceed to this famous lake, it has alot of hippos and you will have an opportunity to have a walking trip along the lake, this will also accompanied with a boat ride which will take to you to the hippo pool, after exploring the lake return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha Hells Gate – Lake Nakuru

After the breakfast check out the Lodge and drive to Lake Nakuru, this normally takes like 45min to get to Lake Nakuru, on arrival, proceed on to the game drive which will take you until lunch time, then return to the lodge for lunch, after lunch proceed for another game drive which will take you to bamboo cliff where you will be able to have a very good view for the whole park.The day will be spent in Lake Nakuru National park with game drive this is a soda lake in Kenya’s Rift Valley known for it’s flamingos and pelicans. Other birds that are abundant throughout the park include the African fish eagle, sacred ibis, hamerkop, and bee eaters. Baboons, water bucks, and introduced black and white rhinos are exciting viewing additions.Dinner and overnight in Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park – Amboseli

Wake up call as early as 0600hrs, have just a cup of hot coffee, then proceed for the early game drive, this early morning game drive is very important as you will have a chance to see the early morning kill from the leopard as well as from Lion, then after the game drive drive back to the Lodge around 0930hrs for the main breakfast, there after check out the Lodge and head to Amboseli. After lunch leave Lake Nakuru and proceed to Amboseli arriving late afternoon with  a drop off to the Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Day 6: Amboseli National Park (full day)

Mount Kilimanjaro is the backdrop of this elephant haven, and you will not be disappointed by this first-class safari experience. You will have no trouble getting up close and personal with these African icons (and host of other wildlife species), from the safety of your pop-up canopy safari vehicle. Guests will have the opportunity to hike up Observation Hill, providing for an ideal lookout of the plains and swamps below.

Day 7: Amboseli – Arusha

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast and then check out the Lodge and go for the game drive, on this day you will have your picnic lunch with you, after the game drive start driving to the boarder as you excit the park, arrive in the border and have the migration process as you proceed to Arusha after obtaining your visa, arrive early afternoon with a drop off to Arusha Tourist Inn the Hotel as you wait the following morning to head to Tanzania safari.

Day 8: Arusha to Tarangire National Park to The Lodge

After the breakfast leave the hotel around 0730 am, the drive normally takes 2 hours so by around 10:00am you will be in the park, then have the whole day in the park until 1730pm then drive to Manyara Lodge for Dinner and overnight.Tarangire National Park. Baobab studded Tarangire stretches southeast of Lake Manyara around the Tarangire River. It is one of the highest concentrations of wildlife of any of Tanzania’s parks. Overnight at the Lodge Site near Lake Manyara. Facilities include dining area, showers and swimming pool. Whistling bats are an added feature of the night life.

Day 9: Mto Wa Mbu to Olduvai Gorge and Serengeti National Park

Wake up call at 0600am have your breakfast then proceed to Serengeti, on this day you will pass at Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s pivotal discoveries that uncovered our human origins, is a stark, sere landscape. You will have lunch at the small information centre while hearing a talk about the meaning and importance of the archeological findings in the area. You will then proceed to Naabi Gate and enter the Serengeti on a game drive en route to Seronera. Overnight at the Wilderness Lodges.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park (full day)

The Serengeti, from the Masai word siringet, meaning “endless plains,” is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania’s protected areas. It has one of the greatest assemblages of wildlife in the world. Day 11: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro

Early morning game drive in Serengeti; after lunch game drive en route to Naabi Gate, after which you drive to Wilderness Lodge, after checking in the Lodge have a walking tour along the crater rim for the whole of the afternoon  at the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Overnight at the Wilderness Lodges

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater World Heritage Site – Arusha

A must see Conservation Area within this massive collapsed volcano, one of the largest calderas in the world. Ngorongoro’s grasslands, forest, swamps, salt pans, and Lake Magadi provide for an assortment of wildlife viewing opportunities. You are likely to see black rhinos, hippos, jackals, spotted hyena, lions, and their prey of wildebeest, water buffalo, and various gazelle species. Birding is excellent as well. The uncommon serval cat may be a bonus feature. Overnight at the Sinka Court Hotel in Arusha.

Day 13: Arusha – Zanzibar

According to your flight to Zanzibar you will be dropped to the Airport to catch up with your flight.White Sand Bungalow.
