Highlights of the Tour

Itinerary

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya and north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving  Samburu Serena Lodge/Shaba Sarova Lodge in time for lunch. An afternoon 'Spice' game drive is planned today. Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in Kenya. This means that there is plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like; Elephants, Lions, Giraffes and Zebras from the surrounding Savannah plains. Leopards are also regularly spotted. The Uaso Nyiro River's magnificent displays are the long and huge Crocodiles, which exceed six meters (20 feet) from snout to tail. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa lodge. Full day in Samburu, a beautiful and game abundant Park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's Zebra, Blue-necked Somali Ostrich and Reticulated Giraffe. Morning and afternoon 'Spice' game drives, with a visit to a local Samburu village. Other optional activities include camel riding, guided nature and bird walks. Overnight at Samburu Sopa lodge

Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya/Aberdare Ranges arriving at Treetops Hotel (tree hotel) in time for lunch. Relax in the afternoon as you watch game from the balconies of the lodge, with an optional guided nature walk. Overnight floodlit game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the tree top hotel. Depart after breakfast and drive to the floor of The Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch. An afternoon 'Spice' game drive in the Park is planned for today. Lake Nakuru is famous for the presence of up to two million Flamingos, seasonally feeding on the abundant algae. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. In addition, many species of game can be found in the Park including the introduced Rothschild's Giraffe, black and White Rhino, Water buck, Reedbuck, Lion,  Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Lodge. Meal plan: {B, L,D} Approx Transit time: 3 Hours

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast in the morning and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving at Mwangaza mara camp  in time for lunch. An afternoon 'Spice' game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mwangaza Masai Mara Tented Camp ( Semi Luxury Camp ): Approx Transit time: 6 hrs The famous Masai Mara Game Reserve is our destination today. Known for its density of animals including the Big Five and 453 species of birds, it is one of the most visited reserves in Africa. This National Reserve's plains are predominantly open Savannah, interspersed with patches of acacia woodland, and along the Mara River, riparian forest. Whilst game viewing is excellent in the Mara all year round, the most popular time to visit is in late July into August where, over one million Wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Zebra migrate from the Serengeti. The dramatic river crossings are a gruesome spectacle of survival of the fittest.

The whole day explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round.The Mara's gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq kms - an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 kms west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson's Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard. In the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north.After exploring the park return to the  same Camp for dinner and overnight.  ( Semi Luxury Camp

Wake up call at around 0600am, proceed for an early game drive, until 0930am, there after return to the Camp for full breakfast, after the breakfast check out the Camp and you can visit the famous Masai Village about 1 hour, then proceed to Lake Naivasha with lunch on the way. Upon arrival check in the Camp and then have a walk along this famous fresh water Lake as you do the boat ride for about 1 hour, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.  ( Semi Luxury Camp )

On this day you will have your breakfast as from 0700-0800am, then check out the room as you proceed for boat ride in Lake Naivasha, this is one of the exciting experience which will take you to the hippo pool. You will be able to go as close to have good photos and then explore the lake for about two hours, there after excit the lake and proceed to Amboseli and you will have your lunch on the way, after lunch head on to Amboseli arriving late afternoon, if time allows go sor a short game drive and then return to the Camp For Dinner and over night in Amboseli Camp Kibo Tented Camp. ( Luxury Camp )

After the breakfast proceed for the full day of game viewing in the Park. Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino,cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. You will have lunch and leisure break at look out point or at the observation hill for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather. Large herds of elephant and hippo can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch proceed for another gamed drive which will take you until 1830hrs where you will return to the Kibo Safari Camp for Dinner and overnight.  ( Luxury Camp )

Early morning pre- breakfast 'Spice' game drive at 6.30am, when you have the best chance to see Mt. Kilimanjaro. explore Amboseli in the morning hours as you transverse to the Boarder between Kenya and Tanzania in Namanga, on arrival you will go through the migration office and just in case you did not have a visa you can get one at the border. Then proceed to Arusha arriving late afternoon with a drop off in Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel for dinner as you wait to leave the following morning.

Early morning breakfast check out the hotel and then proceed to Lake Manyara, the whole day will be spent exploring this park until 1830pm when you will return to the Camp for dinner and overnight ( Rustic Camping)

Morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, dotted with exotic trees such as the Giant fig, Baobab and Mahogany and is famous for tree climbing Lions. Depart after lunch for Serengeti Seronera Campsite ( Rustic Camping).Approx transit time: 4 hrs

Full day in Serengeti on morning and afternoon 'Spice' game drives in the rolling grasslands studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see the Park. Meals and overnight at Seronera Campsite ( Rustic Camping)

A morning 'Spice' game drive in Serengeti, breakfast then depart after lunch for Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite ( Rustic Camping ) .Approx transit time: 3 hrs

After breakfast, descend into the Crater floor with picnic lunch boxes for a comprehensive 'Spice' game drive. Return Arusha for dinner and overnight as you proceed to Kampala the following morning

Depart after breakfast and drive to Arusha International Airport (KIA). Fly to Entebe Uganda and upon arrival our driver will be waiting for you to transfer you to Kampala Africana Hotel for dinner and overnight on half board.

An early morning start from Kampala takes you southwest and across the Equator. You drive through Savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery. Drive through to the gorilla sanctuary. Overnight at you Lake Kitandara Camp,

An early rise being the best time to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, home of the mountain gorillas. After a short briefing by the guides, proceed through dense bush to trek for these endangered animals. Other primates living in the forest include the black-and-white Columbus monkey, red tail monkey and chimpanzee. Return to your at Lake Kitandara Camp, dinner and overnight

After breakfast, drive back to Kampala with an en route lunch at Lake View Hotel in Mbarara. Transfer to Entebbe or Kampala hotel as you plan for your next destination.
