Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara Kenya Safari

Our Driver will pick you up from your hotel, or Residential House as early as 0800am after the breakfast, there after depart Nairobi and proceed on to the Masai Mara Game Reserve with a brief stop over at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley, after few minutes of photography head on for the next 2 hours to arrive in Narok for lunch. After lunch embark again for another 2 hours on the bumpy road which leads you now to the famous Masai Mara. On arrival you will be received by our Staff in the camp and then check in. There after leave for about 2hours late afternoon game drive which will unfold to you the beauty of the African Sunset. Return to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day Combined With Hot Air Balloon Ride
On this day you will have very early morning call as early as 0430am, one of our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the balloon ride meeting point. Meet other guests who will be joining you for this spectacular experience. The Balloon takes off some minutes to 6am and in the next one hour you will be exploring the beauty of Masai Mara where you will capture the early morning Big 5 hunts as well as the beautiful sunrise. We offer hot air balloon ride flights in Kenya’s Masai Mara. Masai Mara is the northernmost part of the spectacular Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, home to the Great Wildebeest Migration and scores of other wildlife, including the famous African Big 5. Day 3: Masai Mara  Nairobi:
On this day you will have a wake up call at 0600am, have a cup of hot coffee and then proceed for the early morning drive, this will allow you to see the early morning big five kills if you are lucky, then return to the camp for the main breakfast, there after check out the camp and for those who would like to visit the famous Masai Village the driver will organize for you to visit. After the visit proceed back to Nairobi with lunch along the way in Narok or Mai Mahiu depending with the time. Arrive in Nairobi late afternoon with a drop off back to your hotel of choice or back to the Airport to catch up with your flight if flying out the same day where the adventure comes to an end.

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning around 0800am after you have taken your breakfast, there after depart Nairobi and drive down the escarpment via the floor of the Great Rift Valley, you will have a stop over at the Rift Valley View point, this is one of the spectacular point where you will be explained how the great rift valley was formed, you will also have a chance to visit the washrooms as well as you stretch your feet, there after proceed for the next 2 hours to arrive in Narok Town, this Town is famous for the Masai People who are the original inhabitant of this town before other tribes came in for the interest of business. You will have your lunch in Transit Hotel or similar.After lunch proceed on to Mara arriving early afternoon, on arrival check in the Room, after familiarizing yourself with the facility leave for the late afternoon game drive which will take you until 1830hrs, return to the Lodge for the Main Meals. Days 2: Masai Mara Full Day
The whole day explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round.The Mara's gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq kms - an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 kms west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson's Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard. In the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north.After exploring the park return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
wake up call at 0600am, have just a cup of hot coffee, then proceed on to the early morning gamed rive, this morning game drive is very important as it will bring you to the morning kills from the big five, the game drive will take you until 0930am, then return to the Lodge for main breakfast, there after check out the Lodge, on this day before you head to Lake Nakuru you have an opportunity to visit the Masai Village and get entertained by their culture and dances, this is optional but our driver can organize this for you, there after proceed to Lake Nakuru with a stop over in Narok for lunch after lunch proceed on to Lake Nakuru arriving late afternoon, if time allowing you will have late afternoon game drive and then head to Lake Nakuru Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Amboseli
On this day you will have your breakfast as from 0700-08000700-0800 am, then check out the room as you proceed for the game drive, Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a size able number of the endangered noncancerous and the Rothschild giraffe. Water-bucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of bird life in and around the lake. Flamingo's are also plenty at the lake.After extensive Game drive and exploring the park leave and head to Amboseli, on this day you will have your lunch on the way in Town Known as Mai Mahiu, after lunch head on to Amboseli arriving late afternoon, if time allows go for a short game drive and then return to the Camp For Dinner and over night in Amboseli Kibo Safari Tented Camp

Day 5: Amboseli Full Day
After the breakfast proceed for the full day of game viewing in the Park. Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino,cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. You will have lunch and leisure break at look out point or at the observation hill for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather. Large herds of elephant and hippo can be seen bathing swamp grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch proceed for another gamed drive which will take you until 1830hrs where you will return to the Camp for Dinner and overnight in Amboseli Kibo Safari Tented Camp

Day 6: Amboseli - Nairobi
Wake up call, then have a cup of hot coffee, then proceed for the early morning game drive, this will take you until 0930hrs where you will return to the Camp for Main breakfast, there after you can decide to go for a short walk with the Masai morans and then leave for Nairobi. You will have your lunch on the way back and then you will be dropped back to the hotel or to  Airport to catch up with your flight depending with your flight schedule.

Day 1: Pick up upon arrival

Upon arrival we will pick you up and be transferred to Meridian Hotel in Nairobi City. Our driver will be on time at the airport and he will have a pager written your Name for easy identification. The migration process sometimes takes like 1 hours to clear and after the clearance with the migration office then head straight to the Hotel as you wait to start the safari the following morning.

Day 2: Nairobi - Samburu
Pick up at 0730hrs after the breakfast then head to Mt.Kenya region with a stop over in Nanyuki Town for early lunch, Nanyuki is the base of Mt.Kenya climbing and the town is inhabited by foreigners as its serenity. After lunch proceed on to Isiolo and then up to Samburu, arrive late afternoon and upon arrival check in to Samburu Sopa Lodge, relax for 1 hr or so and then proceed for the late afternoon game drive until 1830hrs, Samburu game reserve is  famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra gerenuk, beisa oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. return to the Samburu Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu - Lake Nakuru

Wake up call at 0600am, have a cup of hot coffee then proceed for the early morning game drive, this gives you a chance to spot the early morning Kills from the big five, this early morning brings you close to the leopard, cheetah, lions as they search for the morning kills because during the day its hot and they spent most of their time resting in the shade or caves which makes it hard for you to spot them, so this early morning game drive is one of the beautiful game ever in Samburu, it take you until 0930hrs when you return to the Lodge and have the main breakfast, there after check out the Lodge and drive to Lake Nakuru with your picnic lunch in Thomson falls in Nyahururu. After lunch proceed on to Lake Nakuru arriving late afternoon, on arrival proceed on to Lake Nakuru Lodge and check in.There after leave for the late afternoon game drive until 1830hrs, then return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight in lake Nakuru Lodge.

Wake up call at 0630hrs, then have a cup of hot coffee and then proceed for the early morning game drive until 0930hrs, return to the lodge for the main breakfast, after the breakfast check out the lodge and then proceed to Lake Naivasha, on your way out of Masai Mara you will be able to visit the Masai Village which is just next with the park, here you will be entertained with the masai dance as well as visit their homestead Manyatta which are round houses built on mud, this normally takes 45min - 1 hours, there after proceed to Lake Naivasha, on arrival check in for lunch and then in the afternoon have the walk along the lake with the help of the guide as well as have the boat ride which will take you to the Hippo pool. Day 11: Tsavo west - Nairobi
Have an early game drive, as early as 0630am then return to the Lodge for main breakfast, after the breakfast check out the Lodge and head back to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon with either drop off to the Meridian Hotel

Day 12: Nairobi Excursion and City Tour - Sheldrick Farm - Giraffe Center - drop off Airport

After the breakfast check out the hotel and drive to the Elephant Orphanage, this is the home of the orphan aged elephants which has lost their mothers in various reason like poaching or death when they are young. On this day you will be able to see the young elephants feeding as well as starling to one another, this normally takes one hour and you will have an opportunity to touch them as well as feeding them. There after proceed to the Giraffe center, this is the place where the endangered species of giraffe are protected before they are introduced to the wild. At this point you will be able also to feed them as well as pose for the photos with them. Day 6: Amboseli - Tsavo West

After the breakfast the driver will pick you up and proceed to Tsavo West.The park covers an area of 9,065 square kilometers.Tsavo West National Park has a variety of wildlife, such as Black Rhino,Cape Buffalo,Elephant,Leopards and Masai Lion . There are also other smaller animals that can be spotted in the park, such as the bush baby,Hippo, hartebeast, lesser kudu and Masai Giraffe.The whole day will be spent exploring this amazing park.The railway divides the park into east and west. The western part is a more popular destination on account of its magnificent scenery Mzima is one of Tsavo's most popular wildlife attractions owing to its resident populations of hippos and Nile Crocodiles.Mzima's isolation makes both species are dependent on its waters: other sources are too distant for them to reach by overland travel. The hippos also sustain an entire food chain.They browse the surrounding savannah by night and return to Mzima's pools by day, where their dung fertilizes the water. Below the water's surface, the invertebrates which feed on the hippo dung are preyed on by fish and cormorants rich and varied wildlife, good road system, rhino reserve, rock climbing potential and guided walks along the Tsavo River. Day 7: Tsavo West - Tsavo East
After the breakfast leave West and head to East.The two parks are separated by the road or railway line but they produce different varieties as well as topography. Most of the park consists of semi-arid grasslands and savanna, it is considered one of the world's biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous 'big five' consisting of maasai lion black rhino,cape buffalo etc. The park also is also home to a great variety of bird life such as the black kite,crown crane and lovebird as well as sacred ibis.Dinner and overnight in Ashnil Aruba

Day 8: Tsvo East - Watamu drop off.

10 Days Great Rift and Western Kenya Safari

Safari Highlights

This trip that begins in Nairobi - the Kenyan Capitol, proceeds westwards descending to the floor of the Great Rift Valley viewing the panoramic scenery of the sprawling Rift floor including views of extinct volcanoes and long salty lakes. We pass Lakes Naivasha and Elementaita through to Lakes Bogoria and Baringo - excellent territory for the bird watcher! After a couple of nights at Lake Bogoria interacting with the locals, fishing, sightseeing or just lazing (after all you are on holiday!) we continue through some of the most fascinating scenery to Eldoret then on to Saiwa Swamp - wetlands that are home to the endangered Sitatunga (A web-footed antelope that thrives where there is water). The remaining part of the trip is a mixer of forest exploration (Kakamega Forest), Luo and Luhyia Folklore, boating and fishing on Lake Victoria, Interacting with local fishermen and finally game viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park as we head back to Nairobi.

Day to Day Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi - Rift Valley- Lake Baringo

Drive to west wards from Nairobi, down the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Baringo via Lake Bogoria with a brief stop at the famous hot water springs that are found here - clearly showing that the work that formed the Rift continues under the surface of the earth's crust. Dinner and overnight at a lodge close to the shores of Lake Baringo

Day 2 Lake Baringo

Full day at Lake Baringo boat riding, cultural visits to the Njemps community that live around this lake. All meals and an overnight at the lodge.

Day 3 Lake Baringo - Eldoret

An early start to explore the Kerio Valley Fluorspar mines and also to view the fantastic scenery from the escarpment as we proceed to the town of Eldoret where we partake of dinner and have an overnight at a lodge.

Day 4 Saiwa Swamp and The Hills of Cherangany

We drive after breakfast to Saiwa Swamp which is known for its Sitatunga antelopes as well as other rare aquatic wildlife. We spend most of the day in outdoor activities including an exploration and trek up the Cherangany hills. In the evening we return to Eldoret for dinner and an overnight stay after an eventful day.

Day 5 Eldoret Town - Kakamega

Drive to Kakamega town and shop for fruits in the market place of this vibrant western town. Continue to the famous Kakamega Forest and learn what the local Luhya community is doing to conserve this forest which is one of that last traces of the jungle that once spanned the entire equator in Africa, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight in the forest lodge.

Day 6 Kakamega Forest - Kisumu

After breakfast and drive to Kisumu, the Lake Victoria port. Visit the famous Weeping Stone en route and listen to fork lore associated with this gigantic weeping rock. Dinner and overnight in Kisumu.

Day 7 Kisumu

Full day in Kisumu, visit the museum, trek up Riat Hill on the shores of Lake Victoria and hear the history of the Luo people and the significance of this hill in their culture. Visit Kit Mikaye en route and listen to more fork lore before returning to Kisumu for another night in a hotel in the city.

Day 8 Kisumu - Takawiri Island

Take a boat to Rusinga Island, fish off Takawiri beach on Takawiri Island in Lake Victoria and spend an overnight in the beautiful cottages that are built by the Lake. The highlight On this day is the Golden Sunset on Lake Victoria as you partake of a sundowner.

Day 9 Lake Victoria - Kericho - Lake Nakuru

Drive to Kericho tea plantation and learn about how tea is grown as you walk through the green and picturesque surrounding. Continue to Lake Nakuru for game viewing in this wildlife sanctuary and an overnight stay.

Day 10 Lake Nakuru - Nairobi

Breakfast, morning game drive in Lake Nakuru Game Park and return to Nairobi in the evening.

8 Days Rift Valley and Western Kenya Birding Safari

Highlights:

This is an 8 days safari into Kenya's best bird watching regions. You start from Nairobi then proceed to the Kenya's Rift Valley and then to Lake Victoria and end at Nairobi on the last day. You will stay in Kenya's top lodges while on this safari. You will use a 4x4 vehicle during this safari.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi- Naivasha- Nakuru

Met at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta international airport by our tour manager, briefed on your safari and then drive to Naivasha and Nakuru having a stop over at view point to view the magnificent Gregory Rift Valley. View birds that inhabit Lake Naivasha, the highest rift valley lake in Kenya. The lake has over 350 species of birds. Look for flocks of cormorants, kingfishers, and pelicans among other species of birds. As a better option, take a boat ride as you watch the birds. Lunch enroute. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru Game DriveLake Nakuru on the Floor of the Rift-Valley; here we will see the spectacular gathering of lesser Flamingoes in there hundreds of thousand together with an abundance of other water birds like the Western Reef Heron, Lesser Jacana, and black-headed Gull. We will also look for Acacia forest species, including Green-wood Hoopoe, Hildebrandt's and Coqui Francolins, Rufous-naped and Fawn-colored Larks, scarce Grey-crowned Helmet-shrike, Arrow-marked Babbler, Bearded Woodpecker, Mottled swift and White-shouldered Cliff Chat. On the baboon cliff we shall be on the lookout for fox Kestrels and other species of falcons.

Check in Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge for dinner and overnight on full board basis.

Day 2: Full day at Lake Nakuru

Early morning breakfast, followed by full day game viewing and bird-watching .Lake Nakuru national park is a world well known habitat for birds as flamingoes flock here in thousands feeding on crustaceans and small animals that in habit the lake as well as the algae. The flamingoes are accompanied by other species of birds including the gregarious white pelicans 'fishing', geese, jacanas, secretary birds, fish eagles and the vulturine fowls found in the bushy and forest parts of the park among other birds.

Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru lodge or Sarova Lion Hill on full board basis.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru - Lake Baringo & Lake Bogoria

Have an early game viewing, followed breakfast. Mid morning at leisure. Have lunch and drive to Lake Baringo. Lake Baringo is one of the flesh water lakes on the floor of Kenya Rift Valley. Watch out for the red bishop, the solitary pink backed pelicans, fish eagles among other bird.

From Lake Nakuru we head North-west towards the fresh water Lake Baringo, with a stopover near the Menengai crater and here, we find the Brown Parisoma and Brown Snake-Eagle in these farm lands. At Lake Baringo and its environs, we search for rare species restricted to the north-western part of the country including Hemprich's and Jackson's Hornbills, Heuglin's Courser, Nubian Nightjar, Brown-tailed Rock Chat, Northern Grey Tit, Gambaga flycatcher, Mouse-coloured Penduline Tit, Beautiful Sunbird, Bristle-crowned Starling, Jackson's Golden-backed, Little and Northern Masked Weavers. In the evening we visit several sites looking for Verreaux's and Spotted-Eagle Owls, as well as the White-faced Scops Owl.

Day 4: Full Day Birding Activities at Lake Baringo.

After breakfast, have a full day birding activities as Lake Baringo has a multitude of birds. 400 species have been recorded here. Have an experience of bird watching on foot or by boat. Have lunch at the country club.

Lake Baringo IslandDay 5: Travel to Kakamega, sight seeing en route.

Travel to Kakamega after breakfast and sight see enroute. Lunch enroute. Check in at Rondo Retreat in Kakamega forest.

Day 6: Full Day - Birding Activities at Kakamega Forest

After breakfast, have full day birding activity at Kakamega forest with a picnic lunch. The forest is well known for diversity of birds. There are 367 species of birds that have been recorded here.

Kakamega Forest

In this Western part of Kenya, the remnant Congolese rainforest has species which are found nowhere else in Kenya. This includes Blue-headed Bee-eater, African Broadbill Toro Olive, and Shelley’s Greenbuls, Grey-throated Barbet, Chapin’s flycatcher, Black-faced Rofous Warbler, Veillot’s Black Weaver, Uganda Woodland Warbler Mackinnon’s Fiscal, Chubb’s Cisticola, Brown-throated Wattle-eye among others. We will venture further field outside the forest for some more western specialties like Rock Pratincole, White-chinned Prinia, Marsh Widowbird, Black Bishop, Red-headed Lovebird, Green Crombec, Red-chested Sunbird, Purple Starling, Locust Finch, Zebra Waxbill, Brown Twinspot, Bar-breasted Fire finch and be on the lookout for rare Speckled-breasted Woodpecker and Bedouin Snake-eagle.

Kakamega Forest Be EaterDay 7: Kakamega – Dunga beach – Kericho

After breakfast do the last bird watch at Kakamega forest. Have lunch and do birding at Dunga Beach on Lake Victoria

Lake Victoria – Dunga Beach

Bird species found around Lake Victoria but rarely if ever seen anywhere else in Kenya include the Blue-breasted Bee-eater, Blue Swallow, Swamp Flycatcher, Greater Swamp-warbler, White-winged Warbler, Papyrus Yellow Warbler, Caruthers' Cisticola, Papyrus Gonolek, Red-chested Sunbird, Red-headed Quelea, Slender-billed Weaver, Yellow-backed Weaver, Northern Brown-throated Weaver, Black-throated Seedeater and the Papyrus Canary.

Later drive to Kericho for dinner and overnight at Kericho Tea Hotel.

Day 8: Nairobi – Departure

Early morning birding at the arboretum, drive to Nairobi after lunch. Check in Nairobi a Nairobi hotel for your Day room. Dinner at carnivore. Depart for JKIA for your outbound flight.
