We pass Lakes Naivasha and Elementaita through to Lakes Bogoria and Baringo - excellent territory for the bird watcher! After a couple of nights at Lake Bogoria interacting with the locals, fishing, sightseeing or just lazing (after all you are on holiday!) we continue through some of the most fascinating scenery to Eldoret then on to Saiwa Swamp - wetlands that are home to the endangered Sitatunga (A web-footed antelope that thrives where there is water). The remaining part of the trip is a mixer of forest exploration (Kakamega Forest), Luo and Luhyia Folklore, boating and fishing on Lake Victoria, Interacting with local fishermen and finally game viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park as we head back to Nairobi.

Drive to west wards from Nairobi, down the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Baringo via Lake Bogoria with a brief stop at the famous hot water springs that are found here - clearly showing that the work that formed the Rift continues under the surface of the earth's crust. Dinner and overnight at a lodge close to the shores of Lake Baringo
