10 Days Tsavo East, West, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara, Budget Safari

Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 11,747 square kilometers. Opened in April 1948, it is located near the town of Voi in the Tait-Taveta District of Coast Province. The park is divided into east and west sections by the A109 road and a railway. Named for the Tsavo River, which flows west to east through the national park, it borders the Chyulu Hills National Park, and the Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania.

Tsavo West National Park is more mountainous and wetter than its counterpart, with swamps, Lake Jipe and the Mzima Springs. It is known for birdlife and for its large mammals. It is also home to a black rhino sanctuary.

 

Day 1:Nairobi - Tsavo East
Pick up from the airport and head straight down to Tsavo,arrive in time for lunch and after lunch you will proceed for the game drive untill 1830hrs.Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 2:Tsavo East - Tsavo West
After breakfast proceed for the final game drive as you leave the park and head to Tsavo west,these two parks are only separated by the road and they have all together different scnaries as well as animals to be seen here have different characteristics Tsavo West is more popular destination on account of its magnificent scenery, Mzima Springs, rich and varied wildlife, good road system, rhino reserve, rock climbing potential and guided walks along the Tsavo River.Explore the park for the whole day, this day you will have picnic lunch which we normally take at the Mzima Springs as we have a guided tour accompanied with the armed rangers.Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 3:Tsavo West - Amboseli
After breakfast proceed for the final game drive as you leave the park and head to Amboseli.On arrival check in the camp and then proceed for the afternoon game drive which takes you untill 1830hrs.Return to the camp for the dinner and overnight.

Day 4:Amboseli Full day
Full day of game viewing in the Park. Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. Meals and overnight at the camp.

Day 5:Amboseli - Lake Nakuru
Proceed for an early morning game drive before leaving the park,head to Naikuru with lunch on the way,arrive in Naikuru late afternoon and on the same day you will have an opportunity to see this amazing lake inhabited with lots of birds and wild game.Dinner and overnight in the guest house along the lake.

Day 6:Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
Full day game viewing at Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinocerous and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of bird life in and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake,after lunch check out the guest house and proceed for the final game drive as you leave the park heading to Lake Naivasha,arrive in Lake Naivasha late afternoon.Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 7:Full day Naivasha/Hells Gate National park

After the breakfast leave the camp and head to the Hells gate National park.Hells gate is located just beyond Lake Naivasha and its famous for its natural hot geysers, eagle and vulture breeding grounds, visitors have the choice of driving, walking, camping, cycling and rock climbing within the park.Special locations to view include Fischer's Tower, formerly a volcano's plug, the Central Tower and Njorowa Gorges. Two extinct volcanos: Olkaria and Hobley's are worth a trip. Natural steam vents rise from fissures in the volcanic rock. Obsidian, a striking black glassy rock formed from cooled molten lava is a feature of this landscape. Game to view includes: buffalo, Masai Giraffe, eland, Coke's Hartebeest,leopard and some cheetah. A haven for ornithologists and rock climbers, the cliffs of Hell's Gate are breeding grounds for vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard and thousands of swifts; 103 species of bird have been recorded in
the park.After exploring the park the whole day return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 8:Naivasha - Maasai Mara
After breakfast leave Naivasha and head to Maasai mara,the drive normally takes 4 hours to get to maasai mara,on arrival check in the camp and have lunch,then after lunch we will proceed for the afternoon game drive which takes us untill 18.30hrs.return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 9:Maasai mara Full day
The whole day explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.The Mara's gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq kms - an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 kms west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson's Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard. In the Mara River Hippos play and Crocs bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north.Dinner and overnight in the camp

Day 10:Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Have a morning game drive return to the camp for main breakfast as you prepare to leave the park and head back to Nairobi.Arrive early afternoon with a drop off to the hotel or back to the airport.
